About Budda Trip

Budda Trip is an independent, country-by-country travel guide. It started with Bali — the most established, most-visited region of Indonesia — and expanded island by island from there: Java, Lombok, Nusa Penida, the Gili Islands, Komodo & Flores, Raja Ampat, Sumatra, Sulawesi, and further-flung, far less-covered regions like Sumba, Belitung, Karimunjawa, Kalimantan and the Banda Islands. Thailand is the first guide beyond Indonesia, with more countries being added over time.

What we're trying to do

Most travel content online is either outdated, written by someone who never went, or quietly ranked by who paid for placement. This project aims for the opposite: current prices, current visa rules, honest recommendations, and a clear distinction between the destinations everyone already knows and the ones that are genuinely worth adding to an itinerary before they get discovered.

Where things stand

This site is actively being built out, country by country. Indonesia has the deepest coverage so far — Bali alone covers visas, money, scooter rental, healthcare, property, schools and more, alongside 13 other Indonesian regions with their own full guides. Thailand is the newest addition. More countries get added as their guides are built.
