Three New International Routes Are Making Bali Easier to Reach

AirAsia's Melbourne–Bali route, Starlux's Taipei–Bali service and a new Bali–Da Nang connection have all opened up in 2026, adding options beyond the usual hubs.

Indonesia AirAsia launched a daily Melbourne–Bali service on 20 March 2026, with fares advertised from around $199 — a genuinely useful new option for Australian travelers beyond the existing Jetstar/Qantas/Virgin routes out of the east coast.

The same week, a new four-times-weekly Bali–Da Nang route opened, making a Bali-plus-Vietnam trip a much more direct proposition than routing through Jakarta or Singapore.

Starlux Airlines is adding direct Taipei Taoyuan–Bali service from 1 October 2026, five times weekly on A321neo aircraft — the first direct Taiwan–Bali link in some time, useful if you'd otherwise be connecting through Hong Kong or Singapore.

None of this changes the fundamentals of getting to Bali (Ngurah Rai/DPS is still the only real option), but it's worth checking these newer routes against the usual search-engine defaults, which don't always surface recently launched services first.
