Bali's Tourist Levy: Hotels and Agents Can Now Collect It for You

Hotels, tour operators and travel agents can now officially collect the IDR 150,000 entry levy on your behalf and keep a 3% handling fee — one less form to deal with on arrival.

The one-time IDR 150,000 (around $10) foreign tourist levy has been in place at Ngurah Rai Airport and Bali's seaports for a while now, paid through the Love Bali app, at an airport counter, or at your hotel. What's changed for 2026 is who's allowed to collect it: hotels, tour operators and licensed travel agents can now process the payment on a guest's behalf and keep a 3% handling fee for doing so.

Practically, that means more places will likely start offering to sort the levy for you as part of a booking rather than leaving it as a separate step to handle at immigration. It's still the same fee, still one-time per entry regardless of how long you stay, and you still want to keep the QR voucher as proof once it's paid.

KITAS and KITAP holders, diplomats and student visa holders can apply for an exemption through the Love Bali website — but that application needs to go in at least a month before arrival, so it's not something to sort out at the airport.

A proposed increase to IDR 300,000 has been floated but isn't confirmed for 2026 — worth checking closer to your trip if it's still sitting at 150,000.
