Pink Beach (Tangsi)
A genuinely pink-tinged beach on Lombok's remote southeast coast, reachable only by boat
Pantai Tangsi, on Lombok's less-visited southeast coast, gets its blush color from crushed red coral mixed into the white sand — most visible in direct sunlight or when the sand is wet. It's a separate beach from the better-known Pink Beach inside Komodo National Park, and considerably less crowded.

Getting there
Tangsi isn't reachable by road in the usual sense — most visitors reach it by chartered boat from Tanjung Luar or Jerowaru, a scenic ride past smaller uninhabited islands before the beach comes into view. A rough overland track exists but a boat trip is the standard, more reliable way in.
What to expect
Unlike Kuta Lombok's beaches, Tangsi has essentially no infrastructure — no beach clubs, minimal shade, and often no other visitors beyond your own boat group. Bring your own water, snacks and sun protection; there's little to nothing to buy on site.
Combining with other spots
Boat operators commonly package Tangsi with nearby snorkeling stops or a swing past other quiet coves along the same coastline — worth asking about when booking rather than doing Tangsi as a single-stop trip.

- —Book a boat through a Kuta Lombok or Tanjung Luar-based operator — don't attempt the rough overland track without local knowledge.
- —Bring everything you need (water, food, sunscreen, shade) — there are no facilities at the beach itself.
- —Midday sun makes the pink tint most visible — plan for a late morning to early afternoon visit if photos are the goal.
- —Don't confuse this with Komodo National Park's Pink Beach — they're different islands, different trips, hundreds of kilometers apart.
