Burning Man's Global Network Now Spans 80+ Regional Events in Over 75 Countries
Beyond Black Rock City, Burning Man's community-organized Regional Events network holds over 80 official events a year across 75+ countries, drawing more than 100,000 participants combined.
Burning Man Project's Global Events & Groups network now supports more than 80 official Regional Events each year, drawing over 100,000 participants combined across communities in more than 75 countries — all independently organized by local communities rather than run by Burning Man Project itself.
These regional burns follow the same core principles as Black Rock City — radical self-expression, participation, gifting, communal effort — but take wildly different forms depending on geography: some happen in deserts, others in forests, on beaches, in fields, or in urban settings, each shaped by its local organizing community.
For anyone drawn to Burning Man's culture but unable to make it to Nevada, a regional event is a genuinely different but authentic way in — North America hosts the largest concentration, but Europe, Asia, South America, Oceania and Africa all have established, recurring events with their own dates and character.
