Gia Lai Province Adds Two New Recognized Attractions Ahead of Visit Vietnam Year 2026

Gia Lai province officially recognized two new tourist destinations on July 9, 2026: Kon Ka Kinh National Park, a biodiversity hotspot home to rare species like the Kon Ka Kinh laughingthrush and grey-shanked douc langur, with dual status as an ASEAN Heritage Park and core zone of the Kon Ha Nung World Biosphere Reserve; and Yuragi Chaya Quy Nhon, a new Japanese-style cultural park on the coast featuring red torii gates, bamboo-lined paths and onsen hot spring facilities.

The additions bring Gia Lai's total to four officially recognized destinations, part of the province's push to position itself under the theme 'Where Great Forests Meet the Blue Sea' as it hosts Vietnam's National Tourism Year 2026 — a nationwide campaign spanning 244 tourism, cultural and sports events over the year.

By 2030, Gia Lai is targeting 18.5 million visitors (including 1.1 million international arrivals) and VND 35 trillion in tourism revenue — ambitious goals that make this year's new site designations an early, concrete step rather than just a policy announcement.
