Vietnam Airlines Launches Its First Nonstop Service to the Netherlands

Vietnam Airlines launched its first-ever nonstop route between the Netherlands and Vietnam on June 15, 2026, flying Amsterdam to Hanoi three times a week (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays) using an A350, with departures from Amsterdam at 2pm local time.

The Amsterdam route follows a March 2026 expansion into London, where Vietnam Airlines now operates three weekly nonstop flights from Heathrow Terminal 4 to Hanoi plus two weekly to Ho Chi Minh City, and a December 2025 launch of Ho Chi Minh City–Copenhagen service. Together, these routes have pushed European non-stop capacity to Vietnam to a record level, with several countries gaining new direct connections in 2026.

For travelers from the Netherlands and connecting European markets, this removes a layover that was previously unavoidable on this route — a meaningful cut in total travel time for a Vietnam trip, not just a marginal schedule change.
