Rock in Rio 2026 Lineup Set: Foo Fighters Open, Elton John and Gilberto Gil Team Up

The festival's seven non-consecutive days, September 4–13, feature Foo Fighters, Avenged Sevenfold, Calvin Harris, Black Eyed Peas and a rare Elton John/Gilberto Gil collaboration.

Rock in Rio 2026 confirmed its main lineup: Foo Fighters headline the September 4 opening day, with Rise Against, The Hives, Avenged Sevenfold, Bring Me the Horizon, Calvin Harris and Black Eyed Peas among the other major acts across the festival's seven non-consecutive days (Sept 4–7 and 11–13) at Cidade do Rock in Barra da Tijuca's Parque Olímpico.

A standout confirmed moment: a collaborative performance between Elton John and Brazilian musical legend Gilberto Gil on September 7. The Palco Mundo main stage also got a scenography overhaul, with over 100 meters of new LED-panel extension.
