16-Team Field Confirmed for FIBA Women's World Cup 2026 in Berlin, USA Enters as Defending Champion
The full lineup for September's tournament is set, with the USA — reigning champion — drawn into Group D alongside Czechia, Italy and China.
FIBA confirmed the full 16-team field for the Women's Basketball World Cup 2026 in Berlin (September 4–13): Australia, Belgium, Czechia, France, host Germany, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Mali, Nigeria, China, Puerto Rico, South Korea, Spain, Türkiye, and the USA.
The USA enters as defending champion, having beaten China 83-61 in the 2022 final, and was placed in Group D alongside Czechia, Italy and China for this year's single-city, single-country tournament.
