The event runs through September 27, with the final in Łódź, spanning four host cities (Bielsko-Biała, Katowice, Łódź, Sosnowiec) and 24 teams from all six confederations.

Poland, Portugal, New Caledonia, Ecuador, Tanzania and Benin are all making their U-20 Women's World Cup debuts this edition — a notably broad expansion of first-time participants for the tournament.
