Notting Hill Carnival 2026 Confirmed for August 29–31, Main Parade on Bank Holiday Weekend
Europe's largest street festival runs its traditional August Bank Holiday weekend schedule, with the main parade days on Sunday and Monday.
Notting Hill Carnival 2026 runs August 29–31: Saturday's ticketed Steel Band Competition, Sunday (Aug 30) as Family Day, and Monday (Aug 31, the Bank Holiday) as Adults' Day — with the main parade action on Sunday and Monday, following the carnival's tradition since 1966 of running on the August bank holiday Monday and the preceding Sunday.
As Europe's largest street festival, expect central and west London transport to run at genuine capacity throughout the weekend — this isn't a minor local event to casually stumble into without planning around crowds.
