UEFA Confirms Madrid's Estadio Metropolitano to Host 2027 Champions League Final
Atlético Madrid's home ground will stage the final for the second time, following its role in the 2019 all-English final between Liverpool and Tottenham.
UEFA confirmed the Estadio Metropolitano in Madrid will host the 2027 UEFA Champions League final on June 5, 2027 — the second time the ~70,000-capacity Atlético Madrid stadium has staged European club football's biggest match, after the 2019 final (Liverpool 2-0 Tottenham).
The 2026-27 season's league phase kicks off with Matchday 1 on September 8-10, 2026, with 36 clubs — England, Spain, Germany, Italy and France send the most — playing toward a spot in the following spring's knockout rounds and, eventually, the Madrid final.
